The probes used for this application usually present lower-amplitude signals, often requiring a preamplifier. However, the flaw detector\u2019s wide gain range (0\u2013100 dB) and leading-edge electronics deliver excellent quality signals during wheel inspection, without requiring a preamplifier.<\/p>\n<p><em>Improved Filters for Bolt Hole Inspection (600S and 600D)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The simplified configuration and improved filter system of the NORTEC\u2122 600 eddy current flaw detector make it an ideal instrument for bolt hole (rotary scanner) inspection. The flaw detector\u2019s filters are set by default to a \u201cfigure 6\u201d response, the typical shape of the rotary bolt hole application.
